Creating Links

Creating short links with FWURL is simple and intuitive. This guide covers everything you need to know about creating and customizing your links.

From the Dashboard

  1. Navigate to your FWURL dashboard
  2. Click the Create Link button or use the quick create form
  3. Paste your destination URL
  4. Click Create

Your short link is instantly generated and ready to use!

Custom Back-Half

Make your links more memorable by customizing the back-half:

Best Practices:

  • Use short, memorable words
  • Avoid special characters
  • Keep it relevant to your content
  • Use lowercase for consistency

When creating a link, you can configure:

  • Title: Add a descriptive title for internal organization
  • Tags: Organize links with custom tags
  • Expiration Date: Set when the link should stop working
  • Password Protection: Require a password to access the destination
  • UTM Parameters: Automatically append tracking parameters

Need to create multiple links at once? Use our bulk creation feature:

  1. Go to Links > Bulk Create
  2. Upload a CSV file with your URLs
  3. Map the columns to FWURL fields
  4. Review and create all links at once

Before sharing, you can preview how your link will appear:

  • Social Media Preview: See how the link card displays
  • QR Code: Generate and preview the QR code
  • Analytics Setup: Verify tracking is configured correctly
