FWURL offers flexible plans to match your link management needs. This guide covers how to view your current plan, monitor usage, and manage your subscription.

Accessing Usage & Billing

  1. Click your profile avatar in the top-right corner
  2. Select Settings from the dropdown menu
  3. Click the Usage tab

Understanding Your Plan

Current Plan Overview

The Usage tab displays your current plan information:

  • Plan name - Your current subscription tier
  • Plan status - Active, trial, or expired
  • Billing cycle - Monthly or annual
  • Next billing date - When your next payment is due

Monitoring Your Usage

The Usage tab provides real-time statistics on your resource consumption:

  • Progress bar showing usage against limit
  • Resets at the start of each billing cycle

API Requests

  • API calls made today
  • Daily limit based on your plan
  • Resets at midnight UTC

Storage Used

  • QR codes and custom assets
  • Analytics data storage
  • Varies by plan

  • 10,000 API requests per day
  • 1 custom domain

Managing Your Subscription

Upgrading Your Plan

To upgrade to a higher tier:

  1. Go to SettingsUsage
  2. Click Upgrade Plan or View Plans
  3. Select your desired plan
  4. Choose billing frequency (monthly/annual)
  5. Enter payment information
  6. Confirm your upgrade

Upgrade benefits:

  • Immediate access to new features
  • Pro-rated billing for current period
  • No data loss during transition

Downgrading Your Plan

To move to a lower tier:

  1. Go to SettingsUsage
  2. Click Change Plan
  3. Select the lower tier
  4. Review what features you'll lose
  5. Confirm the downgrade

Important considerations:

  • Downgrade takes effect at next billing cycle
  • Data exceeding new limits may be archived
  • Custom domains may be disconnected
  • Team members may lose access

Canceling Your Subscription

To cancel your paid subscription:

  1. Go to SettingsUsage
  2. Click Cancel Subscription
  3. Complete the cancellation survey (optional)
  4. Confirm cancellation

What happens after cancellation:

  • Access continues until billing period ends
  • Account converts to Free plan
  • Data exceeding Free limits is retained for 30 days
  • You can reactivate anytime

Billing Frequency

Monthly billing:

  • Pay month-to-month
  • More flexibility
  • Higher monthly cost

Annual billing:

  • Pay once per year
  • Save up to 20%
  • Commitment for full year

To switch billing frequency:

  1. Go to SettingsUsage
  2. Click Change Billing Cycle
  3. Select monthly or annual
  4. Confirm the change

Payment Methods

Accepted Payment Methods

FWURL accepts:

  • Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • Debit cards
  • PayPal (select regions)

Updating Payment Method

To update your payment information:

  1. Go to SettingsUsage
  2. Click Payment Method
  3. Enter new payment details
  4. Click Update

Failed Payments

If a payment fails:

  1. You'll receive an email notification
  2. FWURL will retry the payment
  3. Update your payment method if needed
  4. Account may be restricted after multiple failures

Invoices & Receipts

Viewing Invoices

To access your billing history:

  1. Go to SettingsUsage
  2. Click Billing History or Invoices
  3. Download any invoice as PDF

Invoice Information

Each invoice includes:

  • Invoice number and date
  • Plan details
  • Amount charged
  • Payment method used
  • Tax information (where applicable)

Updating Billing Information

To update company name, address, or tax ID:

  1. Go to SettingsUsage
  2. Click Billing Information
  3. Update your details
  4. Click Save

Common Questions

What happens if I exceed my limits?

Links: You won't be able to create new links until the next billing cycle or upgrade.

API requests: Requests will be rate-limited with 429 errors until daily reset.

Solution: Upgrade your plan for higher limits or wait for the reset.

Can I get a refund?

  • Monthly plans: Refunds available within 7 days
  • Annual plans: Pro-rated refunds within 30 days
  • Contact support@fwurl.com for refund requests

Do you offer discounts?

  • Annual billing: Save up to 20%
  • Non-profits: Contact us for special pricing
  • Education: Student and educator discounts available
  • Startups: Special programs for qualifying startups

What about taxes?

  • Prices may exclude VAT/GST depending on region
  • Tax is calculated at checkout
  • Business customers can provide tax IDs
